With a music theater background, Jenny Wood is a dark marriage of rare, dramatic vocal power, emotive alternate tunings, and poignant lyrics. Originally from Kansas, Jenny sang throughout her rural childhood before studying Music Theater at Wichita State University. She then evolved into a heavier rock artist during her four years in Nashville as front-woman for former nu-metal band 'Pathos'. A self-taught guitarist, Jenny began drawing inspiration from artists such as Jeff Buckley and Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). Adding her Disney-esque vocal ability, Jenny is an unusual and refreshing performer. Spending the last three years touring both with her full band and solo acoustically, Jenny is excited to grow as a DIY solo road warrior and venture for her second time to west/northwest U.S. this fall '10.
